On Nov. 11, the varsity cheerleading competition team traveled to Columbus for the GHSA State Championship.

The team has placed in the top eight every year at state, winning the region championship this year as well.

“This team has a lot of character, which helped them be successful as a group,” said Head Cheerleading Coach Allison Chambless.

However, when it came to the state competition, they did not receive the outcome they expected. They placed seventh in the AAAAAA division.
